Full-Stack Engineer
Physician & Patient Portals
Vancouver, BC / Remote
We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to design and build the physician and patient portals that form the primary interface of the GenTraceDx platform.
These systems will deliver:
- clinical reports
- longitudinal updates
- trial matching insights
- patient-facing summaries
You will work closely with AI, bioinformatics, and clinical teams to translate complex data into clear, secure, and usable interfaces for real-world clinical environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack web applications for physician and patient portals
- Build secure, scalable interfaces for clinical data access and visualization
- Implement features for report delivery, longitudinal updates, and notifications
- Integrate backend services including AI outputs, genomic data pipelines, and clinical databases
- Collaborate with clinical and scientific teams to ensure usability and clarity of outputs
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements (HIPAA, PIPEDA, etc.)
- Contribute to system architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability
Qualifications
- Strong experience in full-stack development (frontend + backend)
- Proficiency in modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, or similar)
- Experience with backend systems (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar)
- Experience building secure applications handling sensitive data
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and APIs
- Strong understanding of system design and scalable architectures
- Experience in healthcare, genomics, or regulated environments is an asset
